Emily Ricci brings contact hitting, versatility, and steady hands to New Haven
In 2026, Emily Ricci has been a useful all-around piece for New Haven, posting 13 hits, 4 runs, 2 RBIs, and 8 walks while splitting time as an infield/catcher option. She stands out less as a power bat and more as a disciplined, contact-oriented player who can move runners and give a coach defensive flexibility. The key fit question: if you want a reliable, adaptable player who adds lineup depth and multiple defensive looks, Ricci makes sense; if you need a middle-of-the-order thumper, that is not her lane.
