Jalen McDonald is a reliable Merrimack slot weapon with big-play juice
In the 2025 season, Jalen McDonald was Merrimack’s most efficient receiving threat, finishing with 197 yards on 16 catches and showing chunk-play ability with 5 receptions of 20+ yards; in the 2024 season, he posted 302 receiving yards, 4 touchdowns, and a 16.8 yards-per-catch average. At 5-foot-11 and 185 pounds, he looks like a compact, competitive WR who can stress coverage vertically and also contribute in the return game. For a team, the appeal is simple: sneaky explosiveness, versatility, and a proven ability to turn limited volume into impact.
