Zaid Diaz brings left-handed pop and proven junior-college production to Troy
Zaid Diaz entered the 2026 season as a transfer with real thump: at Chipola College in the 2025 season, he hit .294 with a .403 on-base percentage, .601 slugging, 13 home runs and 52 RBIs in 48 games, then flashed power early for Troy with his first Trojan homer against Old Dominion. He’s a lefty bat with outfield versatility and a track record of drawing walks, which gives him a different offensive shape than a pure free-swinger. The headline concern is consistency—he finished Troy’s 2026 season at .157—but the upside is clear if your team wants a physical, patient corner-outfield threat with breakout pop.
