Reese Young is emerging as a steady lefty starter for North Alabama
In the 2026 season, Reese Young has looked like a useful rotation piece for North Alabama, combining starter’s durability with flashes of swing-and-miss upside: he’s 3-0 with a 4.83 ERA in team stats, and game logs show outings ranging from a strong 5.2-inning performance to a 4.0-inning, 4-strikeout win. The pitchability is the draw—he’s a left-handed sophomore who has already handled multiple starts and shown enough poise to work deep into games. He looks like a fit for teams needing a polished, competitive LHP rather than pure velocity fireworks.
