Jaylnn Recasner brings freshman versatility and speed to UAPB’s infield
Recasner is a **freshman infielder** at Arkansas-Pine Bluff who profiles as a **versatile middle-infield defender** with quickness on the bases; her recruiting profile lists her as a shortstop/second baseman, and UAPB’s 2026 roster lists her at 5'3" from Port Sulphur, Louisiana.[1][4] In a 2026 game against Prairie View A&M, she scored a run and added a stolen base, a small but useful sign of disruptive speed and opportunistic play.[3] She looks like a fit for a team that values contact, athleticism, and defensive flexibility more than pure power.[1][3][4]
