Luke Savino brings rare versatility and a strong special-teams leg to West Virginia
Savino is a **freshman punter** at West Virginia who arrived with a multi-role background at Somers High, where he handled **punting, kicking, and even running back** duties, which makes him more versatile than a typical specialist. His high school résumé includes **41.0 yards per punt**, **57 touchbacks on kickoffs**, and a reputation for doing the little things well in big games, including strong playoff performances. He looks like a developmental fit for a program that values adaptable special-teamers with upside, especially if WVU wants a player whose value can extend beyond raw punting stats.
