Mateo Zeppieri brings real power, gap pop, and hard-nosed outfield tools to Richmond
Zeppieri is a left-handed outfielder whose value is tied to impact bat speed, extra-base power, and a reputation for playing aggressively and hard. At Mount St. Mary's in 2025, he led the team in home runs and extra-base hits while posting a .231 average and a .335 on-base percentage, suggesting a volatile but dangerous middle-of-the-order profile. Earlier scouting described him as an athletic gap-to-gap hitter with quick routes in the outfield and strong, accurate throws, which makes him a fit if Richmond wants upside, energy, and occasional game-changing power more than pure contact consistency.
