Andrew Rubayo gives Quinnipiac a durable, high-IQ innings-eater with big-frame upside
Rubayo, a 6-foot-7 senior right-hander for Quinnipiac in the 2026 season, profiles as a sturdy strike-thrower who can take the ball for real volume and keep the Bobcats in games. He logged a 6-1 record, 6.00 ERA, 57.0 innings, and 22 strikeouts in 2025, and his 2026 line includes a 6.0-inning, 8-strikeout shutout of Canisius plus a 5.0-inning outing with 3 strikeouts against ETSU. The differentiator is his workload reliability and frame, plus the academic makeup coaches love; the caution flag is inconsistent run prevention, so he fits best as a dependable middle-to-starter depth arm rather than a pure bat-misser.
