Jacob Marlowe’s comeback story is bigger than the box score
In the 2026 season, Florida State left-hander Jacob Marlowe was sidelined by Tommy John surgery after also missing 2024 following two open-heart surgeries, so the intrigue here is resilience as much as arm talent. Before the injuries, he showed workable strike-throwing and a clean lefty look, and at UCF in 2022 he posted a 3.67 ERA over 27 innings. He’s a fit for teams valuing toughness, maturity, and deception from the left side—but health is the whole scouting report.
