high-upside utility bat waiting for her moment in Moraga
Kiara Vasquez is a redshirt freshman utility player for Saint Mary’s entering the 2026 season, and the most reliable read on her profile is upside: the Gaels describe her as a rangy defender with highlight-reel ability all over the field and gap-to-gap right-handed power. She has yet to appear in a game through her first two seasons, so there are no college stats to judge yet, but her positional flexibility and athleticism make her the kind of roster fit coaches love when they want depth, insurance, and a potential breakout bat.
