Justin Reed is Navy’s sturdy, disruptive edge setter with real pass-rush juice
In the 2024 season, Navy DE Justin Reed was a steady two-way force on the edge, posting 49 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, 6.0 sacks, 1 forced fumble, and 1 pass breakup while earning second-team All-AAC recognition. He’s a 6-foot-3, 263-pound senior who grew from a developmental piece into a starter, and Navy officially listed him as the starter at defensive end entering the fall. Reed’s calling card is effort plus versatility: he can win with motor, play the run hard, and still threaten the pocket — a clean fit for teams wanting a tough, proven edge defender.
