Luke McClure brings left-handed speed-and-contact upside to Wright State
McClure is a 5-foot-11, 170-pound freshman outfielder from Champaign Central and a Wright State signee who fits the mold of a high-energy, athletic add to the Raiders’ 2026 roster. Public recruiting reports describe him as a left-left hitter with a repeatable, flat bat path, a middle-of-the-field approach, and impressive all-around tools: a 6.48-second 60-yard dash, 90.8 mph average exit velocity, and an 88 mph outfield throw. He looks like a strong fit for a team that values speed, barrel control, and defensive versatility.
