Stella Gougoufkas brings veteran high-school pedigree, guard skills, and defensive upside to Holy Cross
Gougoufkas is a 5-9 guard who arrived at Holy Cross with a strong prep résumé: three-time Virginia 6A state champion, two-time team captain, and a second-team all-conference selection at James Madison High School.[8] As a freshman in 2024-25, she played limited minutes but showed a useful role-player profile, averaging 1.5 points and 1.3 rebounds in 13 games while hitting 80.0% of her free throws.[1][2] Her differentiators are competitive toughness, ball-handling, and the ability to create offense in a team structure, which makes her a fit for a system that values poise, versatility, and development upside.[8][12]
