Cade Wiegert brings a big right-handed frame and late-inning upside for NDSU
Cade Wiegert is a 6-foot-5, 215-pound junior pitcher for North Dakota State in the 2026 season, and that build alone hints at the kind of downhill look hitters hate facing[1][2]. His 2026 stat line has been uneven, including a 10.34 ERA with 15 strikeouts, but he has shown the ability to work in leverage spots and has flashed strikeout ability in short relief stints[5][9][12]. The appeal is the size, right-handed power profile, and room to keep growing; the risk is command consistency after some rough outings[10][12].
