Mercyhurst’s low-volume, high-upside back with freshman flash
In the 2025 season, Ethen Knox was a limited-but-efficient Mercyhurst runner, finishing with 3 carries for 1 yard after showing more pop as a freshman in 2024 with 7 carries for 76 yards and a touchdown, including a 29-yard burst. The clear hook here is upside: he’s a compact 6-foot, 210-pound back who can create chunk plays when he gets space, but he has not yet seen enough volume to prove he can carry an offense. If your team wants a developmental, physical runner with some big-play juice, he’s worth a look.
