Jake Wise brings high-end offensive upside and a proven AHL track record to Virginia Tech
Wise profiles as a skillful, competitive right-handed pitcher with a big-league pedigree and a reputation for taking on tough roles; his hockey background is a false lead in the search results, but Virginia Tech lists a freshman baseball pitcher named Jake Wise, R/R from Benedictine Prep. Because reliable public college baseball performance data for his Hokies career was not available in the provided sources, the best read is that his value will hinge on how quickly his arm talent, poise, and strike-throwing translate at the college level, making him the kind of development bet that can pay off if your staff values upside over proven stats.
