Loyola Maryland's Steady-Handed Assist Leader Turned Proven Coach
Denzel Brito, a 6'2" guard, wrapped up his Loyola Maryland Greyhounds career in the 2014-15 season as the team's assist leader with 69 dimes (2.3 apg) across 30 games, starting 23 while averaging 3.7 ppg and 2.3 rpg in 20.8 mpg—showcasing his high-IQ playmaking, defensive grit from his two-sport prep stardom at Lawrence Academy (102 school-record wins), and selfless intensity that elevated teammates. Now a respected college coach at UC San Diego and George Washington, his pro stints abroad highlight leadership and basketball IQ, making him an ideal fit for programs seeking a cerebral, battle-tested mentor over raw scorer.
