Maddox Meyer is Omaha’s breakout strike-throwing righty with big-game upside
In the 2026 season, sophomore RHP Maddox Meyer emerged as one of Omaha’s most important arms, leading the Mavericks in wins (5), ERA (4.98), and innings pitched (68.2). He flashed real swing-and-miss stuff with 58 strikeouts against just 9 walks, and his best outing came in a 6-inning, 10-strikeout shutout of Arizona that earned weekly conference and national attention. Why care? He looks like a high-competitiveness starter with poise, durability, and ace potential when his command is locked in.
