Brooks McDonnough gives Belmont a steady, late-inning right-handed arm
McDonnough is a 6-foot-3 graduate-student RHP who arrived at Belmont after leading Trevecca’s staff in relief appearances in 2025, and he’s already shown he can handle meaningful innings for the Bruins in 2026, including a save against UIC and a four-inning stabilizing stint versus Bradley. His value is strike-throwing poise and bullpen flexibility: he can enter with traffic, get outs, and quiet a game without needing perfect stuff to be effective. If a team wants a composed, experienced reliever with Nashville roots and a team-first profile, he’s a strong fit.
