Nina Peyton-Johnson brings power, polish, and freshman upside to Cal’s infield
Nina Peyton-Johnson arrives at California as a 5-foot-8 infield freshman with a real hitter’s profile: Cal’s staff called her an “offensive powerhouse,” praising her power, baserunning, and cool demeanor. In her 2025 high school season at Sierra Canyon, she hit .615 with 40 hits, 35 RBIs, 12 home runs, and 31 runs scored, which put her among the state’s elite stat leaders. The fit is obvious if a team wants middle-of-the-order pop, confidence under pressure, and a player who already looks comfortable carrying a lineup.
