Columbia’s Captain-Close Reliever With Starter Upside
In the 2026 season, senior RHP Evan Kleinhans was a steady multi-role weapon for Columbia, posting a 3-2 record, 2 saves, a 4.44 ERA, and 40 strikeouts in 48.2 innings across 23 appearances, while also earning Ivy League Pitcher of the Week after an 8.1-inning shutout gem against Cornell.[1][2][3] He’s a 6-foot-4 veteran captain who mixes reliability, competitiveness, and swingman flexibility, which makes him more than just a stat line; he’s the kind of pitcher a staff trusts in leverage, and the kind of teammate coaches love to have in the room.[2][5]
