Texas Tech gets a long, rangy DB with proven playmaking pop
S'Vioarean Martin enters Texas Tech as a high-upside defensive back with size, speed, and versatility: he’s listed at 6-2 and 200 pounds, played cornerback, and also showed real two-way production in high school. In the 2025 season, he was credited with 40 tackles, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, a pass breakup, and nine blocked kicks, while also adding 18 catches for 229 yards and two touchdowns on offense. His appeal is simple: length, physicality, and splash-play ability. If you want a DB who can help on special teams and grow into a disruptive cover man, he fits the mold.
