UAB’s Caitlin Russell brings durability, command, and big-game reliability in the circle
Caitlin Russell is a steady right-handed starter for UAB who has shown the ability to work deep into games, including an eight-inning complete game in 2026, and she has earned recognition such as 2023 C-USA All-Freshman Team honors and 2026 American Conference Honorable Mention. Her value is less about overpowering strikeout totals and more about poise, durability, and the ability to keep UAB competitive with quality innings; she also posted a strong 2023–24 academic profile. If your team wants a dependable, experienced pitcher who can hold up over multiple innings and has already produced against conference competition, Russell is a fit.
