EMU RHP Henry Slaby brings strike-throwing upside and relief experience
Henry Slaby is a 6-foot-2, 205-pound right-handed pitcher who was an Eastern Michigan commit after showing strong high school run prevention, including a 4-3 record, 64 strikeouts, and a 2.12 ERA in his last prep season. At EMU in 2025, he appeared exclusively in relief across 10 games, but his 12.86 ERA and 2.43 WHIP show he was hit hard and still needs refinement at the college level. The appeal is his size, arm-side projection, and bullpen role flexibility; the question is whether he can turn that raw upside into consistent command and cleaner contact suppression.
