Peter Johnson is a steady, lefty-swinging Xavier bat with early pop and gap-to-gap value
In the 2026 season, Peter Johnson has been a useful run-producer for Xavier, hitting .239 with 3 home runs, 16 RBI and 6 doubles while starting 48 games[10]. He flashed early impact with a .429 average over the first weekend and kept showing game-changing bat speed, including a homer and multiple multi-hit games[6][13]. At 6-foot-4 and 200 pounds, he brings a strong right-field profile with left-handed thump, and the bigger differentiator is his ability to contribute in the middle of the order even when the hit tool is still settling in[2][4][10].
