Andrew Austin brings size, shooting pedigree, and disruptive defensive flashes to Eastern Illinois
Austin is a 6-foot-7 forward whose value is less about raw scoring volume and more about floor spacing, versatility, and disruptive defense. In the 2025-26 season, he has averaged 2.4 points, 0.9 assists, 0.8 rebounds, and 1.7 steals per game while logging about 11–16 minutes a night, suggesting a high-energy role player who can impact possessions without needing the ball. His shooting has been inconsistent, but his length and defensive activity make him an intriguing fit for a team that wants a connective wing/forward with upside and toughness.
