Finley Buckner is a power-over-contact infielder with real game-changing pop for Pepperdine
Buckner is a 6-foot-2, 195-pound redshirt sophomore INF for Pepperdine who showed he can change a game in one swing in the 2026 season, including a two-homer, five-RBI outburst against Loyola Marymount on April 19, 2026. He’s the kind of fit a team wants if it needs middle-of-the-order upside, physicality, and bench-to-starter flexibility; his earlier college path and medical redshirt suggest some patience may still be needed, but his bat-to-ball damage is the headline tool. The short version: when Buckner barrels it, the ball usually doesn’t stay polite for long.
