Zach Kmatz Is Emerging as a High-Impact Relief Arm for Oregon State
Zach Kmatz has flashed real upside for Oregon State, and in the 2026 Cape Cod League he looked like a breakout arm: 1.29 ERA, 29 strikeouts in 28 innings, and a Pitcher of the Week nod. At 6-3, 234, the right-hander brings a power look, a lively heater/slider mix, and a reputation for competitiveness that coaches seem to love. His 2026 Beaver numbers dipped to a 5.30 ERA in 18.2 innings, but the summer surge suggests he can be a useful bullpen piece if you want a tough, fiery RHP with strikeout ability and late-inning feel.
