OVC Player of the Week & ABCA All-Region Infielder
As a redshirt freshman infielder for Eastern Illinois, Mike O'Conor is dominating the 2026 season with a .328 batting average, 22 RBIs, and seven home runs, earning him OVC Player of the Week and ABCA All-Region 1st Team honors. His differentiators include elite slugging power (.731), a rare cycle-hitting feat, and a high-intensity, travel-hardened personality from his DII-to-DI transfer journey. Despite a 5-11 frame, his right-handed bat/throw consistency and four years of remaining eligibility make him a perfect, long-term fit for any team seeking a power-hitting infielder with proven resilience and championship intensity.
