experienced Coastal Carolina first baseman with size, utility, and a limited 2026 impact
In the 2026 season, Phillip Ard is a 6-foot-3, 215-pound graduate first baseman for Coastal Carolina whose value comes more from his frame, experience, and roster flexibility than from big offensive numbers; the stat sheet shows a modest .071 average in limited 2026 action, so he looks more like a depth-and-matchup piece than a featured bat[2][3]. His background at North Georgia and presence on a strong Chanticleers roster suggest a veteran, coachable player who can fill a role, but the current production does not yet scream lineup anchor[2][13].
