Army freshman RHP Kaden Youmans brings strike-throwing pedigree and coachable upside
Kaden Youmans profiles as a compact, right-handed pitcher with a strong prep resume and early college strikeout ability: Army lists him at 5'9", 175, and his high school senior year included a 0.22 ERA, five saves, and 35 strikeouts in 31.2 innings, while his 2025 Army season showed a 6.04 ERA with 16 strikeouts[1][3]. His value is less about overpowering size and more about competitiveness, consistency, and a proven ability to get outs in leverage situations, which fits programs that prioritize command, toughness, and development over pure velocity[3][5].
