Cole Watson is a rising, high-upside linebacker with legit athletic juice for Louisiana Tech
In the 2026 season, Cole Watson is listed by Louisiana Tech as a 6-foot, 220-pound redshirt freshman linebacker, and the buzz around him is about traits more than box-score fireworks: he was a three-star recruit, clocked a 4.42 in the 40, and brings a coach’s-kid background with proven tackling production in high school, where he piled up more than 200 tackles. His profile suggests a fast, physical, developmental defender who fits teams that value speed, effort, and special-teams value early, then upside as he adds polish.
