Tulsa’s homegrown linebacker with real tackling pedigree
Sam Stone is a 6-foot-1, 225-pound redshirt freshman linebacker for Tulsa who brings local-star energy and a legit defensive résumé: in high school at Jenks, he piled up 351 career tackles, finished second on the school’s all-time list behind Rocky Calmus, and added eight interceptions with three pick-sixes. In 2025, he appeared in three games and worked on special teams, so the current on-field sample is still small—but the upside is obvious: physical, instinctive, and already wired to make plays. He looks like a developmental fit for a team that values toughness and upside.
