Marist’s Jake Burt brings a proven arm — but 2026 results have been uneven
Jake Burt is a right-handed pitcher for Marist who arrived with momentum after a dominant 2024 at Brookdale, where he went 10-0 with a 3.48 ERA and 70 strikeouts in 14 appearances, then logged 27.2 innings for Marist in 2025 with a 2-0 record and 14 strikeouts. He was also viewed as a transfer poised to help replace an important innings load in the rotation. The upside is real: strike-throwing ability, proven starter’s durability, and a résumé that earned postseason hardware. The caution flag is command consistency, with 2026 outings showing some rough stretches.
