A transfer arm with strikeout pop and versatile bullpen value
Erik Rodriguez enters Washington State as a right-handed arm with real swing-and-miss ability: at Riverside City College in the 2025 season, he posted a 2.45 ERA with 52 strikeouts in 66 innings, plus three saves and a complete game, and WSU listed him as a pitcher on the 2026 roster. He’s the kind of fit coaches like because he can start or relieve, has shown toughness in multiple roles, and brings late-inning experience—though a 2026 outlet noted his WSU outings were largely ineffective, so the question is whether the stuff translates consistently at this level.
