Laila Harvey brings disruptive guard energy for Montreat
In the 2025-26 season, Montreat freshman guard Laila Harvey has shown flashes of a pesky, high-motor backcourt piece: she’s averaging 4.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.5 steals in 19.5 minutes, with a useful defensive ceiling for a 5'6" guard. Her efficiency is still a work in progress, but the steal rate and all-around activity suggest a player who can bother ball-handlers, compete hard, and fit a rotation that values energy and toughness.
