Bailey Blaker brings starter-style strike-throwing upside to SLU’s right-handed mix
In the 2026 season, Saint Louis right-hander Bailey Blaker has worked in relief and shown a live arm with usable velocity, but the results have been uneven so far; his official stats list a 23.40 ERA, 0-0 record, 5.0 innings, and 13 hits allowed in limited action. What makes him worth watching is the frame and profile—6-foot-1, 185 pounds, a Texas prep arm who can add depth and innings if the command tightens. For a staff that needs competitive strike-throwers, he looks like a developmental fit with upside.
