Sykora Smith gives UNI a bat-to-ball jolt with pop and clutch contact
In the 2025 season, Sykora Smith hit .180 with 11 hits, 2 home runs, 12 RBI, and a .589 OPS across 25 games and 17 starts for Northern Iowa, then flashed more damage in 2026 with multiple multi-hit and RBI performances. She brings infield versatility, gap-to-pop power, and a knack for driving in runs in big spots — including a grand slam in 2025 and early-season games where she was among UNI’s top hitters. For a team needing competitive edge and timely offense, she looks like a solid fit.
