URI Freshman's Raw Tools Poised for Breakout
As a 6'6" freshman guard for the Rhode Island Rams, Barrett Loer posted modest 2025-26 stats (1.4 PPG, 28.6% FG) amid limited minutes, but his versatile skill set—elite 3-point shooting, rim-finishing dunks, and mid-range scoring—marks him as a high-upside wing with immediate contributor potential, per URI coaches. A three-star recruit from New England's St. George's who drew interest from Xavier and Penn State, Loer's athleticism, commitment, and academic balance make him a prototypical fit for teams seeking scalable perimeter depth and growth stock.
