Freshman INF Ian Draper is giving Washington a versatile left-side spark
In the 2026 season, Ian Draper has flashed real upside for Washington: he has played multiple infield spots and added DH reps, while producing bursts of run creation, including a 3-for-5, five-RBI breakout against San Diego State. He opened hot, at one point sitting at .364 and later .333 in early-season coverage, but his full-season line settled to .216/.275/.270 in 19 games—so the bat is still learning to travel consistently. The good news: his defensive versatility, mature approach for a freshman, and knack for timely contact make him an intriguing fit for a program that values adaptable, competitive pieces.
