UC Irvine's GPA-Driven Infielder with Elite Hand Speed and 4 Years of Eligibility
Cole Clark, a 6'1", 175-lb freshman infielder for UC Irvine, stands out not just for his 22.9 mph max hand speed and +15.99 mph barrel speed progression, but for his rare 3.96 GPA and magna cum laude graduation—proof of intense discipline and mental sharpness. As a left-handed hitter with 4 years of eligibility, he brings elite bat control, high-intensity preparation, and a personality that balances academic excellence with competitive fire. While no injury history is reported, his consistent multiple-hit game performance (11 in 31 games) and 22 runs scored show reliability under pressure. He’s a perfect fit for teams seeking a smart, intense, and versatile infielder who elevates both on-field performance and team culture.
