Montevallo’s freshman guard already runs the show
In the 2025-26 season, Emily Mouser quickly became Montevallo’s tone-setter at point guard, finishing as the team’s leader in scoring, assists, and steals while earning Gulf South Conference Freshman of the Year honors. She showed a polished scoring touch, a strong handle, and real poise under pressure, including multiple 20-point outings and a league-best free-throw percentage. What makes her pop beyond the box score is her competitiveness and composure as a freshman floor general — the kind of guard who can stabilize an offense and fit well on a team that wants efficiency, toughness, and immediate production.
