Columbia’s young DB Mayan Muchugia brings speed, length, and two-way polish
Mayan Muchugia is a first-year defensive back at Columbia in the 2026 season, listed at 5-foot-11, 175 pounds, with a résumé that jumps off the page: Blair Academy captain, first-team all-conference DB, second-team all-conference receiver/returner, and a track standout with real speed. That combo suggests a high-upside athlete who can cover space, compete in special teams, and probably isn’t shy about contact. If your team wants a versatile, competitive defensive back with legit explosiveness and multi-sport edge, he’s a name worth tracking.
