Julia Holt gives Howard a battle-tested ace with big-game poise
In the 2026 season, Howard senior right-hander Julia Holt entered as the MEAC Preseason Pitcher of the Year for the second straight year after a 2025 campaign that included 94 strikeouts in 113.0 innings, a 5.02 ERA, 13 starts, 36 appearances, and a .281 opponent average. She brings veteran leadership, durability, and swing-and-miss stuff, and Howard’s staff clearly trusts her in pressure spots—she was also a 2026 weekly pitcher honoree and a key piece of the Bison’s championship run. The headline trait: she competes hard and can steady a staff when the lights get bright.
