steady, error-free depth piece with some bat-to-ball upside for Tennessee State
In the 2025 season, Mariyah Brown appeared in eight games for Tennessee State, recorded a hit in the win over UT Martin, and posted a 1.000 fielding percentage with no errors. That profile points to a reliable, low-mistake catcher/infielder who can help stabilize the defense and give a staff confidence in late-game situations. The stats sample is small, but the clean glove work suggests dependable fundamentals; if Tennessee State is looking for a disciplined depth option who can contribute without hurting the team, Brown fits that mold.
