Reliable F/C Depth with Solid Shooting for Jackson State
Davon Jones, a Detroit-native Forward/Center for the Jackson State Tigers, posted 2.5 PPG and 1.9 RPG in the 2025-26 season while shooting 44.7% from the floor [5][8]. Though his role was limited off the bench, his differentiator is his efficient mid-range shooting and physical presence in the paint, offering a low-maintenance, high-intensity option for teams needing frontcourt depth [5]. With no reported injury history and a quiet, team-first personality, Jones is a safe fit for programs seeking reliable backup F/C depth who can hold his own without demanding minutes or attention [5][6]. He may not be a star, but he’s the kind of player who shows up ready to work.
