Arkansas State’s Shutout-Ready Freshman Pitcher with Elite Strikeout Intensity
Collin Maloney, a 6'3", 210-lb right-handed pitcher for Arkansas State, stands out for his intense strikeout mentality—posting 26 SO in 2026 with a 4.45 ERA and delivering a standout 6-K, 4-inning shutout as a true freshman in 2024. Beyond stats, Maloney’s differentiator is his relentless mound presence and shutout consistency, traits that signal high intensity and mental toughness. Though he’s still developing (0-2 W-L in 2026), his velocity range (85–87 mph fastball) and shutout pedigree make him a compelling fit for teams seeking a high-pressure, strikeout-heavy reliever or future starter with room to grow.
