Sergio Droz brings two-way value, bat speed, and versatility to UMBC
Droz looks like a useful fit for a team that wants a multipositional player with real production: in 2025 he appeared in 36 games, hit .282 with 22 hits, 18 runs, 4 doubles, 2 homers and 11 RBI, and also made seven mound appearances with 14 strikeouts in 14.0 innings. He earned America East Rookie of the Week honors on April 8, 2025, and his background suggests competitiveness and versatility rather than a one-tool profile. That combination of lineup flexibility, pop, and two-way upside is what makes him worth watching.
