veteran Dons righty still searching for traction
In the 2026 season, Magnus Nelson was a senior right-handed pitcher for San Francisco who logged a 15.43 ERA across three appearances, but his real value is more about depth and experience than pure run prevention. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Austin native has worked mostly in relief, and his early-career flashes included a 6.75 ERA in 2024 with a first-career strikeout and a couple of steady multi-baserunner-free outings. If you want a seasoned bullpen arm with college reps and a tough-minded profile, he’s a low-risk depth piece—not a headline-grabber yet.
