Hunter Wallerstein brings big-league frame and upside to Charleston’s rotation
In the 2026 season, Hunter Wallerstein is a 6-foot-7 freshman right-hander for the College of Charleston, giving the Cougars a classic power-projectable arm with obvious upside and a frame built to miss bats and eat innings[2]. His current profile is mostly about ceiling: size, mound presence, and development runway rather than a long statistical resume, which makes him the kind of pitcher coaches can shape into a high-leverage starter or bullpen weapon if the stuff keeps trending up[2].
